Rehabilitation for Brain Injury and other
Neurophysiological Disorders—Require specialized services
and early intervention. Without specialized services and early
intervention, more significant problems can arise to properly
treat address Adjustment issues, stress management,
biofeedback, community re-entry, cognitive
retraining/restructuring, home-based cognitive retraining,
internal case management, consultant, and vocation/transition
services for return to school or work for children,
adolescents, and adults with "mild" to severe
Acquired Brain injury (ABI), unsuspected/undiagnosed brain
injury, or other neurophysiological disorders. ABI typically
includes traumatic Brain Injury, "Closed Head
Injury," Post-Concussive Syndrome, Post-operative Brain
Tumor, Anoxia/hypoxia, and Cerebral Vascular Accident, i.e.
stroke, aneurysm, arteriovenous malformation, etc.
Neuro-Rehabilitation
Includes cognitive retraining/remediation, simulations,
community re-entry activities, life skills training to assure
transfer or generalization in real-life settings,
behavioral/social therapies which includes supportive
counseling, stress management, biofeedback, and group
therapies; family education, vocational services; educational
services; maintenance; evaluations; and coordination and case
management.
- Cognitive rehabilitation therapy
is treatment used
to increase or improve an individual’s capacity to process
and use incoming formation to allow increased functioning in
everyday life at home, school, and/or work. This treatment
includes both retraining cognitive functions and development
of compensatory strategies to alleviate problems caused by
deficits in attention, visual processing, language, memory,
reasoning/problem solving, and executive functions (e.g.,
planning, organization, etc.)

computer assisted treatment, and training of family and/or
service providers

vocation/career change, rehabilitation, social skills,
behavioral, and educational

treatment or support to maintain their current level of
functioning and adjustment—mentoring or "life
coaching"

emotional, and vocational testing.**Uses state of the art technology to assist in objective
diagnosis and treatment of attentional disorders and
conditions that mimic attentional disorders. Objective data
can assist medical doctors to titrate medications, measure
efficacy of treatment, and monitor progress.
